Colors Affect Conversions – remember this!
Look at the color of a McDonald’s for example, they DO NOT make them very soothing or comfortable for us to sit down and have a meal. They want us in, then for us to get the hell out!
How do they do it? Their color scheme plays a rather large role.
Think about the interior of a McDonald’s opposed to a fine dining establishment.
McDonald’s is going to be loud, bright, and in your face – the fine dining restaurant will generally have more earthy/relaxing tones.
As I write this, I am actually sitting in a Second Cup and all the colors are warm browns, greys, and chocolate.
I feel as I could hang out here for hours and enjoy my latte.
I probably would not have the same sentiment if I were in a McDonald’s.
(Once again that is nothing against McDonald’s – everything they do is highly calculated – and that includes their colors)
